Revised Article Processing Charge (APC) Policy for Peer Review

Dear Authors,

The International Journal of English for Academic Excellence (IJEAE) is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and efficient publication process while ensuring timely editorial decisions and high-quality peer review.

To further strengthen our editorial workflow, we are introducing an important update to our Article Processing Charge (APC) policy, effective immediately.

Updated Editorial Workflow

Every manuscript submitted to IJEAE will first undergo an Initial Editorial Assessment, during which the Editorial Board will evaluate whether the manuscript:

  • Falls within the scope of the journal.
  • Meets the journal's submission requirements.
  • Demonstrates sufficient academic quality to proceed for external peer review.

If the manuscript successfully passes this preliminary evaluation, the corresponding author will receive an APC payment request.

The APC must be paid and verified before the manuscript is assigned to reviewers and enters the formal peer-review process.

Why This Policy Has Been Introduced

This policy has been implemented to:

  • Ensure the timely assignment of qualified peer reviewers.
  • Support the editorial and administrative processes involved in manuscript handling.
  • Facilitate reviewer coordination and efficient workflow management.
  • Prevent unnecessary interruptions or delays during the review and publication process.
  • Ensure that manuscripts entering peer review are processed without administrative issues.
Revised Publication Workflow

Submission → Initial Editorial Assessment → Suitability Confirmation → APC Payment → Reviewer Assignment → Peer Review → Editorial Decision → Copyediting → Production → DOI Registration → Publication

Important Note

Please note that only manuscripts that complete the APC payment after successfully passing the Initial Editorial Assessment will proceed to external peer review.

Manuscripts for which the APC payment is not completed will remain on hold and will not be assigned to reviewers until the payment has been received and verified.
